Constants

School: University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Course: INFOST 440

Variable after changing it: Spring

Explanation

A constant is a value that is created once and cannot change while the program is running. In this example, SCHOOL and COURSE keep the same values. The semester is a normal variable, so I can change it from Fall to Spring. This shows the difference between a constant and a variable. Constants are written without a $ sign, while variables are written with a $ sign before the variable name.
